Originally named the “Heimatklang Choir” - Founded in 1985
If you like to sing, improve your German, or just have fun we invite you to consider joining the House of Germany Choir.

We rehearse at 7:15 PM till 8:45 PM each Thursday in the Hall of Nations in Balboa Park. Prospective members are welcome to visit for a week or two to see if you want to become a member. Membership in the House of Germany is required, and Choir Members have to pay a nominal fee to defray some of the costs of the Choir. Our Choir director is Frau Claudia Lorenz.
The choir performs at the annual Springfest, Lawn program, the International Christmas Festival, and occasionally at other functions. See the House of Germany Calendar page for dates of scheduled performances.

House of Germany Choir with Director, Claudia Lorenz
House of Germany Kinderchor
Children age 6 and older have fun and learn how to sing in German at our House of Germany Kinderchor. Director Frau Claudia is the music teacher at Albert Einstein Academies and has lot of experience in leading choirs of adults and children. She will teach singing technique, performance skills, and the children will learn the songs without needing to read sheet music. Teres Byrne is a professional pianist and accompanist who has worked with Claudia for many years. Each year there is a Spring Session (Feb.-May) and a Fall Session (Sept.-Dec.).
